5 Steps to Get Rid of a Breakout Fast

You wake up, look in the mirror, and right in the center of your face is a breakout. Oh, shit.

You need to get rid of it, and fast. Here's five ways for you to quickly clear it up. 

1) Freeze it Out 

Okay, you don't actually want to freeze the blemish, but ice can help the inflamed area. Before applying, wrap the ice in a cloth so it does not touch the blemish directly. You will want to apply for about 20-30 seconds. This can be done frequently throughout the day, or just as you are walking out the door. This will ease the pain of the breakout and reduce the inflammation. 

2) Green Tea 

Green tea is known to fight inflammation and bacteria that is can cause pimples. First you want to boil the tea for 3-4 minutes. After it has cooled, grab a cotton ball and apply to the infected area. You can leave this on for 10 minutes, or overnight, and then rinse with warm water. Drinking green tea daily can help fight infections from happening in the future. It's a great way to prevent future breakouts from ruining your day. 

3) The Stress Mask 

License to chill is a stress mask that helps with breakouts. It can be used as a spot treatment or a full face mask. The mask targets chronic and hormonal acne. Using the mask 1-3 times a week can help prevent breakouts. You will apply the mask onto clean, dry skin and leave it on for 10-15 minutes. After your time is up, simply rinse with warm water. When using as a spot treatment, apply the mask to the blemish and leave on for the same amount of time. You will then rinse with warm water. Repeat these steps everyday until the breakout is gone. 

4) Tea Tree Oil

5) Prevent Breakouts 

The best way to get rid of breakouts is to prevent them from happening. Eating a well balanced diet can help with this. Stay away from greasy foods, processed foods, and dairy products. All of these are known to cause breakouts on the skin. Proper skin care is also important. Clean your face twice a day and use face masks weekly.
